Thousands of Iowa Homes at Fire Risk from Gas Tubing
At least 24 house fires in the Des Moines area since 2007 have been linked to a popular flexible gas tube that is vulnerable to damage from lightning, fire officials said.
Local fire officials estimate thousands of homes are at risk - particularly in developments built in the past 20 years.
